Android
Open 9anime in Chrome, tap the menu and choose Add to Home screen, or accept the banner Chrome shows. The purple icon lands on the home screen and the app opens full-screen without the browser bar, with your list, your country and your episode marks inside it. It updates itself every time it opens. "9anime apk", "9anime application" and "9anime app download" are among the most searched phrases in India and the Philippines, and this is the honest answer to all three: the install comes straight from the browser, so there is nothing to find on APKPure, nothing to sideload and nothing to update by hand.
iPhone and iPad
In Safari, tap share and choose Add to Home Screen. Apple only lets Safari install web apps, so use it for this step even if you browse elsewhere. The app shares Safari's storage, so everything you saved carries over.
What the app does
The whole site on a phone: search by romaji, English or shorthand, the shelves, every series by the cour with episode dates, Reached this episode, My List with export and import, the country menu on every title page, and Watch now, which opens the service's own app when it is installed. Two posters across, the Ep badge on each, the menu behind the ≡ button, the search field one tap away.
Television
Any television with a browser opens the site; bookmark it, search with the remote or the voice button, set the country once, and Watch now opens the anime in the service's TV app. Or cast: title on the phone, Watch now, pick the service, cast from its app, keep My List in your hand. The devices guide covers Fire TV Stick, Chromecast, Android TV and consoles.
Two devices
My List belongs to the device it was made on. Export on the first, Import on the second; the lists merge and the later episode mark wins.
