Cours, not seasons
A series on 9anime has a page per season, and the seasons follow the cours the way the studios and the fans count them: a twelve-episode cour is a season, a split-cour show has two, a long shonen has its arcs. The Ep badge on every card counts the dated episodes; the season page lists them in order with the title, the air date in Japan and the running time, and a Reached this episode button on every row.
Reached this episode
Press it when you finish an episode and the row is remembered: the button reads Saved here, the page highlights the row next time, and My List shows your saved place under the series. Through a hundred-episode run on two devices, that is the difference between a series and a chore. Export carries the mark to another device.
Recently updated and recently aired
The Recently updated page lists the newest dated episodes across every series; the Recently aired page shows the last two weeks day by day, the way the old site's schedule did, but looking back at what has actually aired. A simulcast you follow appears there the day it airs in Japan, and the services carry it within hours.
Films in the order
A film that continues a series sits on the movies shelf with its year, and the watch order page says where it belongs for the big franchises.
Where to watch a series
Every season page has a Where to watch button that opens the series on the services carrying it in your country. Anime changes services more than films do, and a later cour sometimes lands on a second service; a season that seems missing is usually one service down the list or a country menu away.
